The complete ranking for 50 Top Pizza Italia 2025
I Masanielli by Francesco Martucci, in Caserta, is the best pizzeria in Italy for the year 2025 according to 50 Top Pizza, the most influential guide for the world of pizza. This was the verdict, announced last night at the Teatro Manzoni in Milan, during the highly attended event hosted by Federico Quaranta. Together in second place we have Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria, owned by the pizza chef Diego Vitagliano, in Naples, along with Confine, owned by Mario Ventura and Francesco Capece, in Milan. For third place, we’re going to Rome, with Seu Pizza Illuminati, owned by Pier Daniele Seu. Fourth place goes to Simone Padoan’s I Tigli in San Bonifacio, followed by Cambia-Menti di Ciccio Vitiello in Caserta. Ciro Salvo’s 50 Kalò in Naples came in sixth, while for seventh place, we return to Milan with Dry Milano, owned by Lorenzo Sirabella. Eighth place sees a new entry in the top ten: La Cascina dei Sapori by Antonio Pappalardo, in Rezzato, Lombardy, followed by La Notizia of Enzo Coccia, in Naples. Completing the top ten list is Massimiliano Prete with Sestogusto in Turin, second new entry this year.

The Pizza Maker of the Year 2025 – Ferrarelle Award goes to Ciccio Vitiello of Cambia-Menti di Ciccio Vitiello in Caserta; the Pizza of the Year 2025 – Latteria Sorrentina Award goes to the Marinara Atomica of I Masanielli by Francesco Martucci in Caserta; the Best Pasta Proposal 2025 – Pastificio Di Martino Award goes to Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria in Naples; the Best Wine List 2025 – La Gioiosa Award goes to Confine in Milan; the Best Beer Service 2025 – Peroni Nastro Azzurro Award goes to La Cascina dei Sapori in Rezzato; the Best Cocktail List 2025 – Sei Bellissimi Award goes to Dry Milano in Milan; the Made in Italy 2025 – Salumi Coati Award goes to Denis in Milan; the Performance of the Year 2025 – Robo Award goes to Il Segreto di Pulcinella, in Montesarchio; the New Entry of the Year 2025 – Solania Award goes to Avenida Calò, in Rome; the One to Watch 2025 – Fedegroup Award goes to Premiata Fabbrica Pizza, in Bassano del Grappa; the Best Dessert List 2025 – Latteria San Salvatore Award goes to La Bolla, in Caserta; the Oil Valorization 2025 – Il Fritturista – Zucchi Professional Award goes to BOB Alchimia a Spicchi, in Montepaone Lido.
The Green Oven 2025 – Goeldlin award, which recognizes the great commitment to environmental sustainability, was given to seven different pizzerias: Cambia-Menti di Ciccio Vitiello in Caserta; Denis in Milan; Gigi Pipa in Este; I Masanielli by Sasà Martucci in Caserta; Le Grotticelle in Caggiano; Pizzarium in Rome; Senese in Sanremo.
The 2025 edition of the Italy guide by 50 Top Pizza consists of 518 pizzerias. Campania is the most represented region with its 100 pizzerias, followed by Lazio with 57, and Lombardy with 41. Among the top 100, the most represented city is Rome with 9 pizzerias, followed by Naples with 8, and Milan with 5.
“The world of pizza continues to transform and evolve in different directions – say the three curators of 50 Top Pizza, Barbara Guerra, Luciano Pignataro, and Albert Sapere – with the quality that is constantly increasing and a new generation of pizza makers who are able to introduce new concepts and formats. The Neapolitan pizza remains the most beloved by the public throughout Italy, even though new styles and typologies are emerging, including those from abroad, such as the New York style pizza”.
The NYX Hotel Milan welcomed guests from all over Italy for the closing party, curated down to the smallest detail by the Fedegroup team. The event not only celebrated this prestigious ranking, but it also provided the vibrant Italian pizza community with an excellent opportunity to share ideas and insights.
The top 40 positions in the 50 Top Pizza Italia 2025 ranking automatically enter 50 Top Pizza World 2025, the ranking of the 100 Best Pizzerias in the World, which will gather at the Teatro Mercadante in Naples on September 8th for the grand awards ceremony.
