The philosophy at “In un angolo di mondo” is rigorously organic and respectful of the environment, with an eye to the simple and the natural. The doughs are made exclusively with stone ground organic flours and a sourdough starter. There are no traces of salamis nor meats among the toppings, but only select dairy-farm products and seasonal vegetables from the local area. Therefore, the menu changes following the seasonal rhythms. The local vegetables and products have been showcased nicely such as the “il cavolo Trunzi di Aci” (a type of cabbage) and the “masculini,” which are anchovies typical of the Catanese coast. The wine list favors natural wines, while the beers on the list were not all available. However, the nice belga trappista Westvleteren made up for this oversight. We also recommend the vegan ice cream called quattro noci (four nuts).
