In the heart of the historic center of Florence, Berberè offers excellent gourmet pizzas that stand out for their lightness of dough and their captivating flavor combinations of top quality ingredients. The establishment located in San Frediano (there is also another branch in the Santa Croce area) is spacious but always crowded, so we recommend making a reservation. The furnishing is modern and the staff is friendly and well-prepared. The dough is available in the classic version with hydrolysis or kamut, in all cases, the dough is extremely digestible thanks to the excellent quality of the flours used and the long leavening time. The gourmet proposals offer high quality seasonal ingredients. Traditional pizzas are also available such as the margherita and marinara. The foccacie served with excellent cold cuts fresh out of the oven are intriguing. The pizzas are served cut into slices so as to encourage sharing among diners. The wine and beer lists are not extensive but contain excellent labels.
