Da non perdere
A historic Roman pizzeria situated a few steps away from Piazza del Popolo. It is just a small place, its name does not make this a mystery (it translates to ‘the little hole’), there is space for only a few tables, for a total of just over 30 seats (with no reservations). The bruschetta with anchovies are made with an old Roman bread mold: the “ciriola.” The pizza is the Roman-type, in other words low, well seasoned and with a crunchy crust, cooked to perfection. The idea of the two sizes is a good one: large and small, the second option allows children to finish their portion, and the adults to try two with different toppings. Few wines on the list and only mass produced beers. Not to be missed is the ventaglio (fan) with pastry cream.
