Ciro Coccia has chosen Pozzuoli and the Campi Flegrei for his pizzeria after extensive experience at his family’s pizzeria in the Duchesca quarter of Naples. In this pizzeria much attention is given to the seasonality of the products; the menu changes as do the seasons. Beyond the more classic tradition of the margherita, marinara and cosacca, we very much liked the white pizza, with fior di latte mozzarella, artichokes, pounded Chianina beef, caciocavallo cheese shavings, rasberry and basil. A good selection of Italian craft beers, for wine lovers, a small selection of 4 wines from Campania. The service is fast and attentive, the prices are within the average. Absolutely not to be missed are the fried offerings; the montanarina is a verifiable genuine pleasure.
