Always among the best pizzerias is that of Giancarlo Casa, a pioneer of quality pizza, not only because of the leavening and the products used, but also for the combinations with wine, craft brews and quality sparkling wine.
The pizza, in Italian style, is surely the best in the Capital; long leavening, soft crusts, well-defined but well cooked, soft dough, fine base and quality toppings, from the fiordilatte, to the salamis, to the vegetables. A rich and varied menu, where the traditional pizza alternates with the Gatta’s classics (after 18 years, by now they have become so). On the board, seasonal variations, often more appetizing than the menu itself, as in the case of the “Marzolina”, which is proposed in March, with exquisite artichokes and thin lard. Always well done, the fried appetizers, starting with the supplì, fantastic, to which a well-deserved reputation in the city is recognized. Service has improved considerably over the years, with the professional and caring attention of the owner in the dining room. Lifetime Achievement Prize to Giancarlo Casa in 2018.
