In the heart of Piazza San Domenico Maggiore one finds the silhouette of the pizzeria Palazzo Petrucci in a beautiful frame. A terrace which dominates over the decuman gates, the pizzeria also boasts an indoor dinning area as well as an outdoor space. The decor is minimal and markedly Neapolitan. The oven dominates the indoor dinning area and looks over the service which is cordial and precise. The menu is vast and includes a wide variety of pizzas, both the traditional and those with gourmet toppings. The dough is Neapolitan, very digestible and nicely bubbled. The ingredients are well-selected, but the resulting flavour does not make one of the best impressions. The pizza menu promises more than what it actually delivers in the end. Well-executed fried offerings, truly flawless.
