During the colder months, the fireplace is always lit in this large and renowned pizzeria near Cosenza: in three separate spaces wood dominates in a welcoming chalet style. The oven is in view, seats over 150 and, a rarity in these times, a smoking area is available. In the menu, a crown symbol marks the year when certain pizzas were “patented” by Gigi, who has been in business since 1973: about 40 different types (normal, large and pinsa-style) along with an offering of traditional fried foods, such as mini meatballs, vegetable fritters and rice balls. Lovers of the Neapolitan-style pizza can find one of the best preparations in the area here. Great care in the selection of beers: about 25, especially the Trappist, among the proposed brands.
