The name of the establishment is direct, the proposal also: Giovanni Santarpia* is a certainty and this pizzeria is an enormous success (better to book in advance). Situated in the lively Sant’Ambrogio quarter, it winds through two halls with different, but nonetheless pleasant atmospheres. The ability in the preparation and the cooking is accompanied by the attention paid to the ingredients, beginning with the flour (also recommended is the bread baked in the same wood oven). The more innovative toppings are well balanced, and the ingredients are listed on the menu with precision. Cooked perfectly, nothing is too dry or too moist. The only alternative, but of equal quality, are the fried proposals among which a couple of pizzas. Also, the beverage selection confirms the attention to detail: the list is not long but apart from the wines (with even some foreign examples) and the beers (craft-brews and non) you are on sure footing even with spirits or a beverage. The price for a visit reflects the quality of the offering.
Giovanni Santarpia is not the pizza chef of the pizzeria since the summer of 2018.
