4A – Guglielmo Vuolo

Da non perdere

Guglielmo Vuolo has come back to his home opposite the seaside in the city of Naples.  He has done it with a pizzeria that is modern both for its structure and its methods.  Experience and creative ideas have returned to the tables at 4A (the name comes from its address in Via Mergellina).  An example is the now famous “Tomato Menu.”  It has a pretty, well-lit dining area with two golden Ferrara ovens.  The service is attentive, right down to the last detail.

The pizza is an excellent version of the traditional authentic Neapolitan style:  thin with a crust which is the integral feature.  You can therefore eat the entire thing, even with your hands (there is a perfumed hand towel next to your napkin).

The lists for wine, sparkling wines and beer are well-thought out, with the majority of the labels from the local territory.
