Opened in 1964, this pizzeria always guarantees quality and kindness thanks to the Citarella family: Toni and Silvana and their daughter Carolina. The interior is made up of a variety of dining areas that are spacious and welcoming. It is very busy even at lunch. Outside, on a platform under some umbrellas are about ten tables for summer dining. There are quite a few pizzas, almost 60. There are well-assorted and even include some unusual combinations. The ingredients are top quality, and some are locally sourced such as the dairy products. The buffalo-milk mozzarella, instead, comes from Battipaglia. Over the years they have created some versions with typical flavors of the region such as the Carnica, the San Daniele and the Friuli Doc. They are all baked in a wood-fired oven, and are delicate, soft and digestible. The house specialty is the ”50 anni” with buffalo-milk mozzarella, salamino, spicy green olives, anchovies and cherry tomatoes. Besides wines there are about ten beers on offer, including an artisan brew from Villa Chazil. They also have a restaurant menu that contains a mostly seafood fare.
