The name of this establishment is a tribute to the mountain that dominates the valley, the Jato. Within the locale you can find numerous photos on the walls that depict the nearby Archaeological Park. This pizzeria-restaurant has been managed by the Traina family since 1987 and offers “country cooking” and as the claim states a “new way to eat pizza”. The menu offers what they call Beautiful pizzas or in other words, gourmet pizzas made with a mix of Russello, Maiorca and Perciasacchi flours, long leavening and selected raw materials to create a balance of flavors that makes the pizzas tasty and easy to digest. You can also find a selection of classic pizzas. A characteristic of this establishment is the mushroom-shaped pizzas, with a mixture of mushrooms and cheese as the filling, complete with instructions in the menu on how to eat these types of pizzas. You’ll also find GelaJato, an ice cream ball wrapped in a sort of pizza dough that is a secret recipe. The list of craft beers is vast with mainly Sicilian brands.
