Pizzerie Eccellenti 2020
There are two of these pizzerias in the city center, and another two in Settimo and Rivoli Da Pecchia. This pizza is renowned by tradition; their reputation was built up over the years and it has made the place a landmark in the center of Turin. Their fame is well-deserved, even if a little more imagination and creativity would be nice to see. Still, the menu is abundant, and the Neapolitan style is accompanied by a Calabrian touch of ‘nduja and eggplant. While it is true that the the Torinesi do not like adventures, not even at the table, and gourmet experiments are “risky,” everything served is satisfying, without too many surprises for the palate. There was just a little uncertainty in the service. Bottom line: if you are looking for a proper pizza, cooked properly, and leavened properly, Pecchia is a safe and reliable place to go to. Credit and debit cards are accepted.
