This establishment is located in a popular multi-ethnic quarter which borders Montmartre. It has brick walls, ancient tiles on the floor, a vintage industrial style between that of Brooklyn and old Paris. There are shelves packed full of wood as high as the ceiling, and a room hidden behind the large oven fired with beech-wood, from which the pizzeria takes its name. Their pizzas are so large and generous that they exceed the perimeter of the plate. The dough is thin, covered with high quality ingredients, which you can also find in their other premises. The Tavern is across the road and the delicatessen is right next door. There is also another pizzeria, “Passage des Panoramas” which is in the city center. It is hard to choose between the classics and the re-visited versions, but do not miss out on the “Trevigiana” with radish and toasted hazelnuts.
