In the lively historic center of Acireale, “Frumento” represents a young and fresh style of pizza, which well reflects the personality of the owners Federica and Emanuele Serpa. Among the proposed doughs you can choose from the classic Neapolitan, the Sicilian (based on Russello wheat flour), and the tasty Enkir (with spelt wheat). Quality raw materials enrich the pizzas. Local products are preferred like the “Trunzo di Aci” cabbage, “Ragusano” fior di latte, and “Sciacca” anchovies. Not to miss is the revised parmigiana, “Non è la Norma” with eggplant, salted ricotta and confit tomatoes. But remember, you can never go wrong ordering the “Classic” Margherita. The kitchen offers delicious appetizers such as the “arancinu”, potato croquettes, and “ragusano in carrozza”, just to name a few. The wine cellar is excellent, which “crosses” regional as well as national borders. The professional and efficient staff is ready to welcome guests from 6.30 pm for a nice aperitif: excellent cocktails, like everything else here.
