Pizzerie Eccellenti 2020
Fuoco e Fiamme
A bright red sign lights up the new square at San Terenzo, in the background you can see the castle and the characteristic Ligurian houses. In front there is a view of the ships, the sea and the bay that takes you to Lerici, as far as your eyes can see. It goes without saying that it is very crowded in the summer, with many outdoor tables backing up the two indoor dining areas which are decorated in a characteristic seafaring 60s style. On the one hand, being a tourism-oriented establishment, it inevitably leads to less stringent measures post COVID-19, while on the other hand, the quality of the pizzas has steadily evolved in time. Even though there is some discontinuity in terms of fragrance, the pizzas are clearly in the Neapolitan style, a pronounced crust, with a well-balanced topping, soft and thin in the center. They are offered with alternative doughs (classic, whole-grain, curcuma, charcoal …). The service, which is friendly and polite, even during the busiest of evenings, always makes the visit a pleasure.
