Maria Cacialli is the personification of the authentic Naples. Her ability to be available to everyone has made her a neighborhood landmark. She has transferred this credibility to the management of the pizzeria. If it is true that genes do not lie, her late father Ernesto’s (known as the Presidente) knowledge and ingrained art have been passed on through her to her children. This was then complemented by the encounter with her husband Felice, another true pizza artist. The establishment is spacious and surprisingly cosy, despite occupying the basement of one of the many ancient buildings in the center of Naples. Because of the well-built interior, it is like sitting in one of the city alleys. As she admits herself, the fried food is the best, especially her majesty the traditional fried pizza. But young Armando has brought the traditional Neapolitan oven-baked pizza that is found in the historic city center to the fore. It is an unmissable stopover for those who would like to learn more about pizzas and tradition.
