Located in a multi-cultural neighborhood in San Salvario, this pizzeria-friggitoria also serves cuisine in the Neapolitan style. Lo Staglio opened in July of 2018. It is named for the preparation phase that deals with the portioning out of the dough into panetti. The color white dominates with pale wood accents both in the outdoor space on the veranda and in the two dining areas. There is seating for about fifty guests. The kind service serves montanare, some of which have been revisited, a few cold antipasti and salads. There are also pasta options such as the gnocchi dello staglio with creamed datterini tomatoes, buffalo-milk fondu, fiordilatte and basil pesto. Finally, calzoni as well as a varied pizza proposal are available. The pizzas are also available in a whole wheat version. They are divided into the contemporary, awards pizzas, the most requested, and the old-fashioned ruota di carretta. The latter are larger and thinner than the others, and we appreciated their softness and the lightness of the dough. The meal closes with delicious homemade desserts.
