Avalon distinguishes itself for its selection of rich pizzas and its use and research of high-quality local ingredients (from Le Marche and beyond). The pizza is proposed in the Neapolitan style with a well-leavened dough that is soft but well structured. The toppings are delicious and original with seasonal references and a preference for Slow Food Presidia products. The selection of fried dishes is also rich. They are proposed as an appetizer that includes the typical Ascoli olives, revised and improved potato crocchè and small fried pizza with cooked tomato sauce. The establishment is located in the outskirts with a large and rustic environment. The internal dining area is reminiscent of Naples and exudes a Neapolitan atmosphere with its posters of Maradona and selection of well-known pastries from the famous Neapolitan bakery Poppella. The service is spontaneous and transparent. There is, in fact, a camera that shows a wall projection of the actual cooking counter that truly leaves nothing to the imagination. The selection of wine and beers that contain mostly regional brands is decent.
