Da non perdere
Located just a few steps from Piazza Plebiscito, Pizzeria Brandi keeps the Neapolitan pizza tradition alive. It is a place where it is still possible to relive history. It is in fact here, in 1889, where the pizza margherita was born. It is the same one that you can still enjoy today while seated at their tables. To compliment the pizza oven, there is also a selection of dishes from the kitchen including various fried offerings and fish proposals. At Brandi, however, you cannot miss trying the margherita accompanied by the welcome you receive from the Pagnani family. They continue be that archetypal family of a traditional, family-run business that makes the rounds in their dining areas which are continually full. The leavening is average to brief in length, quality ingredients are used and the dough is well-baked. A mark of demerit, however, goes to the service and to the waitstaff.
