The care and the extraordinary passion for pizza that this young talent has continues to surprise us. He is from the Ukraine and was trained as a chef in Aquila and several other regions of Italy. The assortment of pizzas on the menu is varied. It is organized according to season and the products it offers. However, Granocielo, here in the center of Avezzano, does not have a menu. A blackboard might be a nice idea, as would a wine and beer list. The pizza is sold by the slice, the dough is whole wheat and with a long leavening. It is nice and bubbly with original combinations which favor the extraordinary flavors of Abruzzo, from the produce of the nearby Fucino to the mountain cheeses. The establishment is intimate and welcoming and in summer it has a very lovely veranda under its lime trees.
