The Amalfi Coast is far away, but you would never guess it. It is the homeland of Carmine Esposito who, with his family, has been and is among the pioneers of pizza interpreted “as tradition dictates” in the province of Novara. Here he has made history in the white art, and his “Lampara” continues to be a trustworthy landmark. It attracts gourmet travelers and amazes its patrons while respecting precise standards: research into the ingredients, care in the workmanship, and impeccable baking. Two ovens (one gas and one wood-fired) work at full capacity and the kitchen churns out seafood dishes that allow you to breathe in the sea air. Some pizzas demonstrate the inventiveness of the owner: the double Super-Carmine, for example, with vegetables, salami and anchovies. Or the focaccia Regina, with prosciutto and whole burrata placed after baking. On the menu you will find a liturgy of seafood dishes in addition to the pizzas. The cantina is spot on, and includes good champagnes.
