You will find the pizzeria “Spicchi d’Autore” in Giulianova just a few steps away from the sea in a very convenient area. The atmosphere is pleasant and the dining room staff are well-prepared and polite. The menu pays homage to Abruzzo, and this becomes clear by the names used for the gourmet pizzas. This is rendered even more evident by the Slow Food Abruzzo Presidia and IGP products that are used for the toppings (for example, dried figs from Atessa, caciocavallo from Pescocostranzo, and saffron from Navelli etc…). The pizza chef Vincenzo Marcozzi uses different cooking techniques. The pizzeria is praised for its usage of Solina wheat flour (a native variety grown in the areas of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park) and locally-produced vegetables from neighboring towns. Considering all of these features, the final result is a tasty gourmet pizza that is digestible and strongly reminiscent of the Abruzzese territory.
