In Via Mazzini, a few steps away from the green Cavour Square, stands one of Turin’s most acknowledged temples in the panorama of pizzas: Sestogusto. The oven is overseen by Massimiliano Prete, originally from Puglia, but since the age of 15, a naturalized Piedmontese. Apart from the establishment in Turin, he also has one in Saluzzo, where all his experiments have been born. In the pizzeria, which comprises an outdoor dining area and an elegant terracotta-colored room with bricks in full view and floral partitions, you can taste the 5 creations – Pizz’Otto, Pizza Croccante, Pizza Classica, Fa Croc and La Pala – realized with stone-ground flours, sourdough and top quality ingredients. A professional staff serves the dining area with the proposals that can be ordered from the menu or from the sampling menu, together with a selective list of wines and artisan beers. The beer that stands out is the label made with the left-over focaccia from the pizzeria. To finish off the meal, desserts made in collaboration with the pastry chef Loretta Fanella are on offer.
