The Umberto restaurant in Naples is an establishment that belongs to the “Centenarie” (centenary group). Opened in 1916, it manages to keep the Neapolitan tradition alive after a century. The décor is modern with warm colors and paintings that match the colors of the walls and make the space attractive. The anti-COVID-19 preventative measures are respected, from the distancing of the tables marked on the floor to the measuring of body temperature at the entrance to the waiters who are always wearing masks. A special mention goes to the dining room staff who are committed to an extremely kind, attentive and classy service. The menu is well-organized, denotes the seasonal products and also offers gluten free options. The pizza has a light and soft dough, and the fresh ingredients used such as the DOP buffalo-milk mozzarella and the tomatoes make the final product excellent. The fried ripieno and the desserts recommended by the staff are also excellent. It is a pizzeria that is worth the visit.
