The atmosphere here is that of a city kitchen garden, hidden a few steps away from Piazza San Michele, in the historic center of Pavia. Verde Salvia has managed to recreate a gracious rural atmosphere, complete with outdoor areas on the street and a small shop selling local products. The kind, essential hospitality provided completes and exalts a menu that must include the farinata and a series of gourmet focaccias. However, it concentrates above all on a wide selection of pizzas: the naturally fermented dough is completed by a series of toppings that range from the most traditional to the more creative ones with interesting variations inspired by Italian regional cuisines. An example is the Ligurian, obviously with pesto, or another is the Mantovana, with pumpkin and amaretti. The beer and wine menu compliments the whole experience with an ample and well-studied range of brands.
