Madrid is the base for the venues of this chain, but recently they have opened the Grosso Napoletano also in Valencia. The furnishings are “post-industrial” with exposed red bricks and tables without tablecloths. The dough is made with Italian flours and leavened for 48 hours. The ingredients used for the toppings are imported directly from Italy, from the San Marzano tomatoes to the Parmigianino Reggiano. Among the proposals, you’ll also find the “Calzone” with its classic filling of tomato sauce, salami and ricotta and chilli pepper, a true gem. The dessert menu is also very good, it includes the inevitable and well-made Tiramisu. To drink you’ll find mostly beers than wine and the proposals are a mix between Spanish and Italian brands. Courtesy and politeness are the adjectives used to describe the youthful and informal service. The prices are below average compared to the majority of European capitals, also taking into account the great quality of the raw materials used.
