La via e il locale prendono il nome dal serbatoio di gas che si trova nei pressi, siamo nel quartiere Ostiense. Ricavato, forse, da un antico capannone industriale, l’interno ha un aspetto piacevole, fatto di pareti a mattoni, luci distribuite a effetto e sedie multicolori; vagamente underground. Il personale di sala è attento, cortese e discreto. Le pizze (Margherita e Vesuviana), composte da diverse farine, risultano piacevoli e ben cotte, solo al centro sono appena molli. Sicuramente la lievitazione e i tempi di riposo sono lunghi. I cornicioni sono soffici e i condimenti frutto di un’attenta selezione. I supplì assaggiati, cacio e pepe e taleggio e zucchine, sono buoni, qualcosa di meglio si può fare sull’olio di frittura. Buona la scelta dei vini, la stessa cosa non si può dire di quella delle birre: solo quattro.
The street and the establishment take their name from the tank of gas that is found in the area, we are in the Ostienese quarter. Transformed, perhaps, from an antique industrial warehouse, the interior has a pleasant aspect, made with brick walls, lights distributed to create effect, and multicoloured chairs; vaguely underground. The dining room staff is attentive, courteous and discreet. The pizzas (Margherita and Vesuviana), composed by different flours, have a pleasant and well cooked result, only in the center they are a bit limp. The leavening and the resting times are definitely long. The crusts are soft and the toppings fruit of a careful selection. The suppli we tried, the cacio e peppe and taleggio and zucchini, are good, something better could be done with the frying oil. Good choice of wines, but the same cannot be said of the beers; only four.
