In a quiet area of the city of Rome, this recently opened pizzeria immediately impresses for its design and bright lights. It is the latest brainchild of Jacopo Mercuro, who left a promising career as a lawyer seven years ago to become a pizza chef. His pizzas are made in the Roman style, thin and crunchy and pleasant to eat thanks to a well-designed dough that is just slightly soft at the center. The excellent ingredients and his inclination towards studying innovative combinations complete the picture here. There is a whole other chapter we could dedicated to fried foods served as starters. They are truly in a class by themselves both for their flavor and for their execution. They are very crunchy thanks to a crust of breadcrumbs made from house-made bread. They are not greasy, rather they are very tasty and alone deserve the trip to get here. Among the pizzas we recommend the Napoli, with tomato, mozzarella, anchovies and oregano. The wine list is well-designed and includes natural wines.
