We do not know why two master chefs decided to change their course and to open a pizzeria, but we are really happy that Rafa Panatieri and Jorge Sastre did so. It was done with excellent results considering the fact that in a short space of time, a second, larger establishment has been opened in the center of Barcelona. The décor is minimalistic, and the atmosphere is carefree. Care is given to every single detail of the preparation process, starting with the choice of the raw ingredients, all of which are local and often organic. Their motto is: “dalla fattoria alla pizza (from the farm to the pizza).” A lot of care is taken in the dough, the combinations are innovative and authentic. Nowadays Sartoria Panatieri represents the first example of pizza in Spain with its own precise identity. It is inspired by the Neapolitan pizza, but it has also rooted itself in the territory thanks to sensitive and capable hands and minds. All of the homemade cold cuts and salamis are highly recommended.
