This is one of the oldest pizzerias in Naples, and it is recognized by the municipality as a Bottega Storica (historic workshop). It is found in one of the most densely populated side streets off of Via Toledo, and, despite the thousands of tourists in the area, the Prigiobbo brothers pizzeria still remains an authentic Neapolitan stronghold. The establishment is a bit rough around the edges. Near the wood-fired oven is a display with the specials of the day. You’ll find paper placements on the table. The service is very fast, courteous and professional. The pizza is made in the traditional Neapolitan style both in terms of the dough and the type of toppings. The base of the dough is thin and not too moist which goes well with the crunchy crust. The margherita and stuffed calzone with ricotta and salami are really worth trying.
