Despite its rather secluded location (we are on the Appia Nuova, near the Capannelle Hippodrome), Angelo Pezzella's establishment is an essential destination for pizza lovers and traditional Campania dishes. The establishment, composed of several rooms that are connected to each other, is furnished with sober elegance. The tables are positioned near each other but not overly so. The establishment is able to host about one hundred and twenty diners simultaneously. The selection is wide and moderately creative, despite the indissoluble bond with traditional cuisine. There are different pizzas proposals: fried, stuffed and in the canonical form with a high and crunchy crust and an elastic and soft disc of dough, which is well-seasoned and topped with ingredients of quality. In addition to the fried dishes, which are all light and free from oily residue, you’ll also find the ‘panuozz’, a delicious example of Neapolitan flavors, along with tasty dishes like Luciana octopus and sausage with broccoli.
