Tre ambienti (46 posti in veranda, 38 nella sala interna più 5 tavoli all’aperto), gusto country e pareti con mattoni a vivo in questo rifugio a dieci minuti da Cosenza che si appresta a festeggiare i trent’anni di attività: un posto fresco anche nei giorni di canicola cittadina, amatissimo da studenti e personale della vicina Università. Le pizze spaziano dalle classiche alle specialità della Borgata ma non mancano le vegetariane. Impasto soffice – lodevole l’utilizzo di farine italiane senza additivi da filiera controllata – e materie prime del territorio: dalle verdure ai porcini, dalle patate alla salsiccia, dai pomodori secchi alle olive schiacciate. Non manca il San Marzano dell’Agro Nocerino sarnese.
This establishment has three rooms (46 seats on the veranda, 38 in the internal room plus 5 outdoor tables). It is furnished in a country style with exposed brick walls. This safe haven is located ten minutes from Cosenza. It is preparing to celebrate its thirty years of business. It is a cool place even during the days of city heat. It is a favourite location of both students and staff of the nearby university. The pizzas range from classic to the Borgata specialities but there is no shortage of vegetarian proposals as well. The dough is soft. The use of Italian flours without additives which come from a controlled supply chain is praiseworthy. The raw materials are all locally sourced, from the vegetables to the porcini mushrooms. They include potatoes, sausage, sun-dried tomatoes and crushed olives. The requisite San Marzano tomatoes from Agro Nocerino sarnese are not missing.
